Digital Sama Experience

We had the privilege of reimagining one of the most profound legacies of Turkish culture, the Mevlevi Sama. With a history spanning over 800 years and recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Heritage of Humanity, this timeless ritual now finds a new voice through digital art. Drawing inspiration from the mental and emotional rhythms of the dervishes, we crafted a multilayered visual and auditory experience using 3D scanning, iris-based visuals, and EEG-driven particle movements. Blending centuries of spiritual heritage with today’s digital language, this work invites the audience to witness the Sama not only as a performance, but as a living reflection of humanity’s eternal connection with existence.
